This simple basic care guide will help you preserve and protect your jewellery investment.

 Basic care

We recommend that you have your jewellery professionally cleaned at least once a year depending on how often it is worn. No need to look far for this service as we provide a jewellery cleaning and repair service at our workshop.

Our craftsmen are experienced in all aspects of jewellery care.

Between professional cleaning, you can maintain you’re silver jewellery at home with non-abrasive jewellery cleaner, warm soapy water or our silver cleaning cloths, which are impregnated with a special anti-tarnish agent.

A soft bristle brush can be used with warm soapy water to clean difficult to reach areas.

Silver tarnishes when exposed to extremes of heat or cold, salty water and heavy sweating, also products containing sulphur can effect the silver. So it’s a good idea to remove you’re jewellery during swimming and sports.

To remove tarnish on your jewellery use an anti-tarnish silver cloth or non-abrasive silver polish.

Did you know silver loves to be worn, skin temperature is when silver is at it’s best!!

Wear just occasionally in the shower for that renewed ‘bling’ effect!

Storage is also important. At the time of purchase silver fish jewellery is packed in a protective box or pouch, which is tarnish resistant. Between wearing we recommend that you’re jewellery is placed in its original packaging or similar.

Pearls can be wiped with a soft damp cloth, do not soak pearls. Ultrasonic cleaning is not safe for pearls.

Examine your jewellery regularly to ensure that settings and clasps are secure and do not expose you’re jewellery to household bleach, strong perfumes or hairspray.
